Our scholarship program is now underway. We are now once again interviewing bright young students which will be followed by a scholarship luncheon at Brunswick Country Club 12:00 noon on 15 May
This is always a fun event. It gives us a chance to meet with fellow members we haven’t seen in a while, as well as meeting some our finest students and their families.
Please consider attending. It’s been too long.

Dear Golden lsles MOAA Member,
Thank you for your valued membership in the Golden Isles Chapter of
MOAA (GIMOAA). Your support allows us to continue our mission of
awarding scholarships to deserving local high school students and to
other worthwhile causes.
GIMOAA has expanded our community outreach for supporting our
Scholarship Program. We want you to be part of this new outreach and
help us contact our local businesses for their support
Our Chapter dues for the year 2022 are $25.00 per family and are
the primary source of operating revenue. The local GIMOAA dues
ARE NOT included in your National MOAA dues. Your local dues will
support membership in the local Chamber of Commerce: maintenance of
our Website, Newsletters, and postage: and defray administrative
operating costs for our Scholarship Program. Our fixed yearly
operating budget is $650.00. This will keep us afloat.
Over the last several years our membership has declined, but our
operating cost have remained the same. This was the reason for the
small increase in our 2018 dues. We need your help with increasing
our membership. if you know a lapsed member or someone eligible for
membership, please encourage them to attend a meeting and make
application with the chapter. If required, we can mail/email an
application to you. Or refer them to our website: www.GlMOAA.ORG,
look for link in 2nd para.
Please send your check, any change of address status and email to
the club address above. Or you can pay online at GlMOAA.org, Thank you
for your prompt response. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

The Golden Isles Chapter of MOAA was chartered in 1964. Our
membership lives in the Golden Isles area of Brunswick, St. Simons Island,
Jekyll Island, Sea Island and surroundings counties.
We meet at the Brunswick County Club, Brunwick, GA.
except as noted. We have a social hour and a served dinner followed by a
formal program. We have been able to attract prominent national, as well as
local speakers for our programs.
Each year the chapter provides a scholarship to a student
from each of the three Glynn County High Schools. All students in good standing
are eligible to apply for these scholarships.
Membership is open to active duty, retired, National Guard,
reserve, former commissioned officers and warrant officers of the Army, Marine
Corps, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, Public Health Service, and National Oceanic
